Task Specific Breathing
What is Task Specific Breathing?
Task specific breathing is when the pelvic floor and diaphragm work together like a piston, which creates an appropriate amount of tension and pressure in the core to support a specific task. For example, lifting a heavy child may require a different breath strategy than lifting an infant, but the principle of breath support remains the same.
Motherhood Strong teaches that stabilizing the core through breath and then moving from the core to the extremities leads to more efficient and pain-free daily motion.
